This design is made to accommodate children in their play activity and the added heart cutouts is to dress it up for moms. We find many moms using the step-stool too, for their activities around the house. Whereas the child needs the Wooden "Safety" Step-Stoolfor the bathroom, kitchen, playroom or bedroom. There is a handle slot on the top for easy pick-up and to move it around.
